VanDerGinst Charities is a 501 (c) (3) not for profit organization which was originally formed by Dennis VanDerGinst and his law firm, VanDerGinst Law, in order to assist in the law firm’s numerous fundraising efforts. Its’ primary mission is to identify local worthwhile causes that need help and then assist in raising money and awareness for those causes. The focus of the VanDerGinst Holiday Bash is fundraising for the HAVlife Foundation, a local charity which creates opportunities for “at risk” children to participate in the arts and athletics.
VanDerGinst Law manages a campaign called the “Giving Program”, which coordinates dozens of community and charitable efforts. Through this program thousands of dollars have been raised to help victims of Katrina. Thousands of dollars have been given to local high school students via a scholarship program. Tens of thousands of dollars have been donated to legal clinics that help low income families. Over 10,000 bicycle helmets have been given to children to promote bicycle safety. The “Giving Program” has sponsored dozens of events and organizations related to education, sports, the arts, veterans, children, the sick, the injured and other community and charitable causes.
